Field Guide to Svorost

Near the far end of the Long Rim, at the edge of the Dawnline Shore, the distant Karrakin world of Svorost languished for a long time. Originally a prestige terraformation project of the House of Glass, it has been eclipsed for the best part of its history by the close, and much more promising Interest.

Now that war is brewing, however, Svorost has been caught in the conflict as a strategic staging ground for Karrakin forces. The turmoil, however, has stirred much more than rumors of war: the long squabbling minor Houses of Svorost are facing a crisis: their mistreatment of the ignoble population is catching up with them. Strikes are closing factories, demonstrations fell on deaf ears and are now turning to riots. House Varlet is losing control of the situation quickly, and the entire planet is a barrel of gunpowder waiting for the flame.

An uprising the likes of which haven't been seen since the Free Sanjak rebellion is gaining traction. Will the struggle make for a better Svorost, free from the oppression of the nobility? Or will blood be spilled in vain?

The Field Guide to Svorost is a is a homebrew supplement for LANCER: The Mech RPG. Inside you'll find:

• A history and overview of Svorost, including influential factions, locales, and setting details to help create a campaign.
• Wuxing Chrysalis Workshop, a young but promising mech license manufacturer, skilled at repurposing, scavenging and creating rugged but effective chassis, forged in the fires of civil war. It includes five new mechs (with room for more!) for daring pilots, alongside WCW core bonuses. Be a balm on your allies and a bane on your enemies, drowning them in coolant at the helm of the Rusalka, create fortresses and scavenge wrecks with the Trench Ghoul, or laying waste to an entire battlefield with the Gashadokuro.
• 3 new NPCs (with another five planned) and a new Template add options and flexibility, ready to be used anywhere mechanized chassis tread, from the flexible Armorer to the ruthlessly brutal Shrike.

In addition to the pdf, the Field Guide to Svorost also comes with an lcp file. Downloading this file will allow you to incorporate the content found in the Field Guide into Comp/Con, Lancer's digital toolset, and is compatible with Foundry VTT. The Field Guide to Svorost is unofficial content and is not a publication of Massif Press. It is made available for fans of Lancer to use in their games as they see fit. All of the content in the Field Guide, and by extension the lcp file, is subject to change as playtesters contribute feedback and as more content is added in the future.
